Excerpt from Ravynwyng Chronicles Volume 1: The Beginning
Ravyn raised her head and looked around. She heard her friend’s faint voice, but didn’t see her. ‘Help me!’ Cara’s feathers were edged by a silver glow and she pressed against Ravyn’s neck.
The firm contact with the bird poured additional strength into Ravyn, but not enough to help her stand. ‘Lyta, I’m in the dream city. I-I don’t have the strength to find the body!
Nicole looked from Lyta to Jennie to Ravyn and recalled what Ravyn had written from one of her dreams. “Lyta, remember the meditation I taught you?”
“Yes.” She kept her eyes on Ravyn; the pulsing of the ring matched her heartbeat.
“Do it now, but concentrate on Ravyn and don’t let go of her hand.” Nicole turned to Jennie. “Jennie, take mine and Ravyn’s hand.” Nicole reached out and grabbed Lyta’s arm. “No matter what, don’t lose contact with Ravyn or me.”
