Poem — Fog’s Revenge

download (6)

Fog’s Revenge
Midnight slowly came around
And a fog crept in without a sound
That fog was filled with an eerie glow
Acting as though it knew where to go

The town it sought was happy and high
Celebrating their founders of days gone by
These people didn’t know what was going to happen
But when it did they were all caught napping

Oddly enough one person knows
Why that fog had a vengeful glow
It all happened one hundred years before
When ship and crew sank to the ocean floor

Now on the dreadful day in the dark of night
The crew came back for its final fight
Seeking out revenge on their murderers’ six
They came in the fog knowing just who to pick.

Wonderful poem. An eerie ghost story come to life. I’d love to hear more about it. It’s pretty fascinating.
